The Journal of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Tropics and Subtropics publishes papers dealing with original research and review papers in the fields of plant production, animal nutrition and animal husbandry, soil science, rural economy and farm management, forestry and forest economy, veterinary hygiene and protection against epidemics.
Articles in the journal are published on an ongoing basis, prior to printing, by adding them as part of an issue to the “current” volume’s Table of Contents, after final proof of the authors. JARTS is published as two issues per year. A printed version is published once a year (starting from Vol. 125 No. 1 / 2).

Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems
Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems examines our current food systems from production to consumption, and the urgent need to transition to long-term sustainability. The journal promotes the study and application of agroecology for developing alternatives to the complex problems of resource depletion, environmental degradation, a narrowing of agrobiodiversity, continued world hunger, consolidation and industrialization of the food system, climate change, and the loss of farm land. The journal uses a food systems approach, and seeks experiences in agroecology that are onfarm, participatory, change-oriented, and backed by broad-based methodologies of sustainability analysis and evaluation. Agricultural Systems is an international journal that focuses on the interactions within and between agricultural systems, including their natural, social, and economic environments. Aims and Scope
Animal Science Journal (a continuation of Animal Science and Technology) is the official journal of the Japanese Society of Animal Science (JSAS) and publishes original research articles (Research Article and Short Communication), Technical Note, and Review Article in English in all fields of animal and poultry science: genetics and breeding, reproduction, reproductive engineering, nutrition, feeds and feeding, physiology, anatomy, environment and behavior, companion animals, wild animals, animal products (milk, meat, eggs and their by-products) and their processing, and livestock economics. It does not cover any field not related to animal husbandry such as medical science, veterinary medicine, pharmacology, food hygiene, agricultural machinery, fisheries science and etc. Submission to the Journal is open to those who are interested in animal science.
